JAZZ AT LACMA

Jazz at LACMA is a celebration of L.A.’s finest jazz musicians and has featured such legends as Wayne Shorter, The Yellowjackets, Quincy Jones All Star Orchestra with John Clayton, Arturo Sandoval, Jeff Lorber, Billy Childs, Tierney Sutton, Ernie Watts, and many more. Concerts are broadcast on KJAZZ (88.1 FM) every Sunday evening from 7–9 pm and include interviews with featured performers. Jazz at LACMA is produced under the direction of Director of Music Programs Mitch Glickman.

Summer 1993 / System Crasher

Join the UCLA Film & Television Archive for a double feature screening of Summer 1993 and System Crasher. Summer 1993 (Spain, 2017) follows young Frida as she navigates grief and adaptation after her mother’s death, moving to rural Catalonia. System Crasher (Germany, 2019) portrays the turbulent journey of nine-year-old Benni through the foster care system, highlighting the challenges of addressing childhood trauma. Both films offer poignant explorations of resilience and healing.
