This mural celebrates the journeys that diasporic communities have undertaken when leaving their homelands to find new places to nest. Muralist Dave Young Kim’s work imagines over 30 birds traveling
together in harmonious flight. Each bird pictured here is an official national bird from Asia and the Pacific Islands, representing the diverse communities who now call Southern California home.

Victorian Christmas

Christmas Holiday display of our finest antiques, Santa Clauses, angels, choir boys, and village scenes that depict Dickens’s Victorian Christmas. Our Christmas tree will be decorated with our collection of antique ornaments and there will be a display of vintage Christmas cards.

Tour of the Historic Lanterman House

Discover the architectural charm of the Lanterman House, a historic site surrounded by patios and featuring thirty-two French doors. Guided tours, led by knowledgeable docents, last about 75 minutes and start from the Visitor Center. The venue offers free parking, but note that the house is not air-conditioned.   Tuesdays, Thursdays, and the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month at 1:00 p.m.

Blue Note Jazz Festival 2025

Our non-stop two-day celebration returns with a new partner: Blue Note! It’s a party like no other featuring some of the best in jazz and more! The full lineup will include Grace Jones, The Isley Brothers, WILLOW, De La Soul, and other artists. STORRIER STEARNS JAPANESE GARDEN

This Japanese garden features a light hill-scape, pond, cascading 25-foot waterfall, and a formal teahouse designed by Kinzuchi Fujii. The garden is considered by many to be a masterwork, demonstrating the adaptability of Japanese culture in modern America.   Fridays and Saturdays, 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Sundays 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. $15, Register in advance at the website

Summer Concerts at the Warner Center

Since 1975, the Valley Cultural Center has presented a series of free Concerts during the summer. Organized to enrich the lives of Valley residents, these concerts feature top pop, jazz, classical, folk, and world music performances in the afternoon at Warner Park. The series include food, booth vendors, and a children’s play area.The program schedule is on the website.
