The 2025 First Fridays season turns the volume up on sound and music. We’ll tap into our relationship with music and how it affects our bodies and our lives. MUSIC AND THE MIND examines what does listening to music do to your mind and well being? What has changed in the way we listen to music and what does it mean for society? What are the social and personal benefits of listening to music?

Join us on Abbot Kinney Boulevard for a fun and festive night in Venice. Chances are, you will find whatever food you are craving, along with special merchant events.
JAZZ AT LACMA
Jazz at LACMA is a celebration of L.A.’s finest jazz musicians and has featured such legends as Wayne Shorter, The Yellowjackets, Quincy Jones All Star Orchestra with John Clayton, Arturo Sandoval, Jeff Lorber, Billy Childs, Tierney Sutton, Ernie Watts, and many more. Concerts are broadcast on KJAZZ (88.1 FM) every Sunday evening from 7–9 pm and include interviews with featured performers. Jazz at LACMA is produced under the direction of Director of Music Programs Mitch Glickman.
