Summer Concerts at the Warner Center
Since 1975, the Valley Cultural Center has presented a series of free Concerts during the summer. Organized to enrich the lives of Valley residents, these concerts feature top pop, jazz, classical, folk, and world music performances in the afternoon at Warner Park. The series include food, booth vendors, and a children’s play area.The program schedule is on the website.
Artists in Fellowship Event – From Idea to Screen
Women In Film (WIF) is excited to host FROM IDEA TO SCREEN- EMILY GROOMS, featuring works (episodes, short films, scenes, features) created by the class of the 2024 Fellowships. A virtual event is schedule for Thursday, May 22, from 6:00 to 7:40 p.m. and in-person event is scheduled Tuesday, June 3, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at WIF Headquarters. Masks & Metamorphosis
In line with GFBLA’s history of championing the needs and rights of queer people, this concert will spotlight the trans and gender-expansive community with a program of Concert Band music that evokes transformation and self-expression. Masks & Metamorphosis takes on themes of historical triumph and discrimination, freedom of expression, “othering” and dysphoria, community, acceptance of an authentic self, and the frustrations and bliss of transformation.
Mariachi Arcoiris de Los Angeles
Club Tempo is one of the only remaining Gay Latino Bars in the area with an emphasis on the LA vaquero (cowboy) scene.
