Best-selling author Fae Myenne Ng’s memoir Orphan Bachelors offers a personal portrait of San Francisco’s Chinatown and a family’s experience building a life in a country that sought to exclude them. Hua Hsu described it as an enthralling act of reckoning, resilience, and a reclaiming of futures once denied to her forebears.
