As part of the Family Flicks Film Series, the Hammer Museum presents Pelé: Birth of a Legend, a family-friendly biographical sports drama that chronicles Pelé’s journey from his humble beginnings in Brazil to becoming a global soccer icon. The film highlights his unique “ginga” playing style and cultural impact, offering an inspiring glimpse into his legendary career. The Family Flicks Film Series is co-presented by the UCLA Film & Television Archive, featuring matinee screenings suitable for families and film enthusiasts.

Victorian Christmas

Fresh Tracks Graduation Culmination

Come celebrate the completion of the current cohort of Fresh Track. For the last 12 weeks youth have been engaging in multi-disciplinary arts and wellness practices with Arts for Healing and Justice Network (AHJN) members Jail Guitar Doors, No Easy Props and Street Poets Inc. This free event will take place Friday, June 6, 2025, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the C.A.P.O. Center.
