Pack your picnic basket, shake out your blanket and grab your friends & family by the hand. LA’s Shakespeare in the Park returns for an entire summer of FREE theater under the stars!

Fall in love with this summer’s  As You Like It, a screwball romantic comedy with songs inspired by 1930’s crooner, Al Bowlly.

Performance Schedule: 

Wednesdays through Sundays at 7:00 p.m. at Griffith Park’s Old Zoo

Immersive Prologue at 6:00 p.m.

Performance season: Wednesdays through Sundays from July 10 – September 1, 2024!

TEAM TAIKO JAPANESE DRUM LESSONS

Taiko is a drumming practice originating from Japan that has become a global phenomenon over the last several decades. World-renowned taiko artist ManMan Mui teaches drumming patterns over 8-week sessions. Lessons include developing rhythm, body awareness, and technique as students make music together as a team. Team Taiko is open to all, from beginners to seasoned musicians.

Life of Pi

Experience the Tony and Olivier Award-winning play Life of Pi, based on Yann Martel’s best-selling novel. This visually stunning production tells the story of sixteen-year-old Pi, who survives a shipwreck and is stranded on a lifeboat with a hyena, a zebra, an orangutan, and a Bengal tiger. The Last Play by Rickérby Hinds, a meta-theatrical work written by the real Rickérby Hinds, was commissioned by Latino Theater Company and developed in the company’s Circle of Imaginistas playwriting group.
