The Japanese Garden

The basic style of the garden is known as Chisen-Kaiyushiki, or “wet garden with promenade,” and is fashioned after the strolling gardens built during the Muromachi and Edo periods, allowing visitors to traverse and experience them.   The idea of having a Japanese Garden adjacent to a water reclamation plant was conceived by City Engineer, Donald C. THE HUNTINGTON’S CHINESE GARDEN – THE GARDEN OF FLOWING FRAGRANCE
