Experience the interior of Hollyhock House at your own pace with a self-guided tour. Docents are on hand to provide information and answer questions. Guidebooks are also available for visitors to use in the house.

Calling all writers of fiction, screenplays, poetry, etc. Get feedback on your writing in a fun, supportive environment! The Central Library Creative Writing Group meets every other Saturday for fellowship, feedback, and snacks. Meetings start out with a short writing prompt exercise, then writers are invited to share up to five pages of their work for feedback from the group. Based on insights from a 2024 survey by YouStar Foundation and the Korean Consulate General in LA, the event will explore cultural misunderstandings, shifting family roles, and mental health impacts. Through open dialogue, real-life stories, and expert guidance, attendees will gain tools to foster understanding and communication across generations in Korean American families.
This Japanese garden features a light hill-scape, pond, cascading 25-foot waterfall, and a formal teahouse designed by Kinzuchi Fujii.
