LOS ANGELES FRONTRUNNERS PRIDE RUN 2025
Pride Run turns 42! Pride Run 2025 marks the 42nd running of the Los Angeles Frontrunners (LAFR) Pride Run. Come join us in celebrating 42 years of running, friendship, and community. Each year, LAFR makes a contribution to local charities with the proceeds from the Pride Run. Pride Run 2025 features our traditional 5K and 10K race, free Kids Race, and the Ultra Pride Run, where you race both the 5K and 10K!
We Live in Painting: The Nature of Color in Mesoamerican Art
Mesoamerican artists held a cosmic responsibility: as they adorned the surfaces of buildings, clay vessels, textiles, bark-paper pages, and sculptures with color, they (quite literally) made the world. YouStar Foundation Warm Line
The YouStar Foundation offers a Warm Line service, providing a safe space for Korean Americans to share emotions, seek advice, and receive support. This non-crisis emotional support hotline addresses unique challenges such as cultural stigma around mental health, generational gaps, and stress from living in a multicultural environment. Realms of the Dharma: Buddhist Art Across Asia
This exhibition presents an international survey of Buddhism and Buddhist art, beginning with the religion’s origins in India and following its spread through mainland and island Southeast Asia, the Himalayas, and East Asia. Incorporating 150 masterpieces of pan-Asian Buddhist art, the exhibition introduces key concepts of Buddhist thought and practice viewed through rare and extraordinarily beautiful Buddhist sculptures, paintings, and ritual objects. JAPANESE GARDEN – KOI POND AT SOUTH COAST BOTANIC GARDENS
Listen to the calming sounds of water and take in the subdued palette of evergreen shrubbery embracing the Koi Pond. The garden features stone lanterns crafted from Okazaki stone over 200 years ago, as well as a bonsai display maintained by the South Coast Bonsai Association.
