LA Plaza Cocina is excited to share that this year, we will have Free Culinary Cooking Demonstrations open for the community to enjoy! Our guest chef for the Free Culinary Demonstrations will be Beatriz Tasha Magaña! Her vision is to rebuild native traditional Mexican recipes  with French Techniques into plant-based cuisine.

Exiles in Paradise: How Jewish Refugees in LA Enriched American Music

Jews who fled the rise of fascism in Europe in the 1930’s flocked to California. Many became involved in the film and music industry, enriching American and world culture in the process. This program features soprano, filmmaker, and scholar Christina Linhardt and renowned pianist Brian Pezzone, who will tell the stories behind the composers and their work as well as perform them. Girl From the North Country

It’s 1934 in Duluth, Minnesota. We meet a group of wayward travelers whose lives intersect in a guesthouse filled with music, life, and hope.
