Transgender Awareness Month Exhibition

Now on view at the Henry P. Rio Bridge Gallery at City Hall is the Transgender Awareness Month 2023 exhibition. This exhibition celebrates and honors the joy, legacy, and lives lost in the transgender, gender-diverse, and intersex (TGI) communities.

Experience the Tony and Olivier Award-winning play Life of Pi, based on Yann Martel’s best-selling novel. This visually stunning production tells the story of sixteen-year-old Pi, who survives a shipwreck and is stranded on a lifeboat with a hyena, a zebra, an orangutan, and a Bengal tiger. Just Like Us by Karen Zacarías. Inspired by the bestselling book by Helen Thorpe and now more timely than ever, this non-fiction play follows four Latina teenage girls whose close-knit friendship is put to the test when each finds her opportunities in life dictated by immigration status—or lack thereof. The Last Play by Rickérby Hinds, a meta-theatrical work written by the real Rickérby Hinds, was commissioned by Latino Theater Company and developed in the company’s Circle of Imaginistas playwriting group.
