Victorian Christmas
Christmas Holiday display of our finest antiques, Santa Clauses, angels, choir boys, and village scenes that depict Dickens’s Victorian Christmas. Our Christmas tree will be decorated with our collection of antique ornaments and there will be a display of vintage Christmas cards.
Tour of the Historic Lanterman House
Discover the architectural charm of the Lanterman House, a historic site surrounded by patios and featuring thirty-two French doors. Guided tours, led by knowledgeable docents, last about 75 minutes and start from the Visitor Center. The venue offers free parking, but note that the house is not air-conditioned. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month at 1:00 p.m.
Tech TryOut Cart
The Tech TryOut Cart will display a selection of devices Android, Windows, and iOS devices for patron to try out. You can also bring your own smartphone or tablet for hands-on help with the library’s e-media services.

Experience a captivating performance featuring the ancient Chinese guzheng accompanied by English, Cantonese, and Mandarin vocals. This program not only showcases the guzheng’s dynamic sounds but also delves into its history and contemporary uses. You will explore various traditional, contemporary, and extended playing techniques of the guzheng. Our goal is to encourage the audience to rethink how non-Western instruments can be integrated into modern music and to appreciate the diverse cultures that contribute to the vibrant tapestry of Los Angeles.
LA Made Presents: Nossi Bojagi Wrapping Workshop
Bojagi is a traditional Korean wrapping cloth with a rich history. In this class, we will explore the art of wrapping and discover the numerous ways to utilize Bojagi, from adding an elegant touch to gifts to crafting fun, reusable, and sustainable market bags. Attendees will learn four wrapping styles and take home a Bojagi.
