Mesoamerican artists held a cosmic responsibility: as they adorned the surfaces of buildings, clay vessels, textiles, bark-paper pages, and sculptures with color, they (quite literally) made the world. Gloria Molina Grand Park’s Downtown Día de Los Muertos honors Angelenos’ longtime customs and traditions of the Day of the Dead celebration. Parkgoers are welcome to pay reverence at altars created by professional artists and local community organizations.
