LA Freewaves and 30 artist groups + organizations present “Heal Hear Here” a FREE public healing art event that will feature artistic works, practices, and performances to create a multi-sensory, multicultural environment encouraging Los Angeles to break out of isolation and into a reparative afternoon of collective care in Yaanga, the homelands of the Tongva/Gabrielino/Gabrieleños.

The event will involve Indigenous-informed opening and closing ceremonies, an ancestral walking tour, a labyrinth with listening, a dancing and drumming participatory workshop, art workshops, poetry readings, performance art, community chorus, a large-scale puppet and sound processions, roaming singing, chimes, a star garden, a community sculpture, tea serving, bike rides, and more!

Enchanted is a one-mile, nighttime walk through distinct lighting displays. Some of the displays are interactive and invite participation, while some are merely there to be observed and enjoyed.
