With featured poets Mauricio Moreno and Tommy Domino, Hosted by Chloe Diaz.

Mauricio Moreno
Mauricio ‘Soul on Fire’ Moreno is a 1st generation Colombian-American poet and writer, originally from Elizabeth, New Jersey. His debut poetry collection is Anatomy of a Flame (Los Angeles Poet Society Press, 2023).
His works have been published in Conchas Y Café, Intercultural Press, Resurrection Press, No Tender Fences, Rigorous, and others. He has also featured at several open mics throughout Los Angeles and Sacramento.
When he’s not writing, he can be found writing in Long Beach, donning Hogwarts robes and steampunk goggles, tending to his growing collection of fur babies.

Tommy Domino
Member of the Stillwater’s Writers Collective since (2012-Pres). Member of the Watts Writers Workshop II (2018-Pres). His book Switches, Hot Wheel Tracks & Extensions Cords was published by World Stage Press (2018) Member of the poetry collective Never Speak Long Beach who featured at The House of Blues, Anaheim (2022). Community Literature Initiative Teacher of the Year (2022) Teaches the Long Beach Poetry Cohort for the Community Literature Initiative (2020-Pres.) performed in the first episode of Slanguage on Urban Soul TV. Along with Diverse Verses, he co-produced and featured in the documentary Brand New Day which was nominated as the best documentary in The Glendale International Film Festival (2023) His work has appeared in 8 poetry anthologies and 2 scheduled for release in 2024.

Amid the San Fernando Valley lies an oasis – a 6.5-acre garden featuring three gardens in one. First, the Japanese Garden has a dry Zen meditation garden containing Tortoise Island, a three-buddha arrangement of stones, and a wisteria arbor at the end of the Plover Path.
