Abilities Expo showcases a wide range of assistive technologies, activities and demonstrations, workshops, and more!

So you can try sports and dance, learn about service dogs, discover ways to be fit, and connect to programs in the local area.

All events take place in the Auti AngelEvents Arena unless otherwise noted.

Girl From the North Country

It’s 1934 in Duluth, Minnesota. We meet a group of wayward travelers whose lives intersect in a guesthouse filled with music, life, and hope. Beethoven’s Fidelio with Dudamel and Deaf West Theatre

Dudamel conducts, in collaboration with the Deaf West Theatre, an innovative production of Beethoven’s Fidelio, created for both deaf and hearing audiences. A story told through the composer’s music sung by hearing vocalists accompanied by the expressive gestural poetry of sign language by deaf actors. Ghost Waltz

This is the story of an Indigenous musician whose works have been attributed to Europeans. It is a mix of music, magic, drama, passion, spirituality, and dance in a celebration that explores people of color’s lives during the late 19th century Americas and their ghostlike impact on our lives today. THE HOPE THEORY

As a Portuguese immigrant, storyteller, and sleight-of-hand magician, Helder Guimarães arrived in America at age 29. Wide-eyed and full of ideas, he discovers a fascinating puzzle of cultural and professional challenges to solve while he tries to build a home. The Hope Theory offers a unique perspective on America through the eyes of an optimistic outsider.   Tuesdays – Fridays, 8:00 p.m., Saturdays, 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., Sundays, 2:00 and 7:00 p.m.
