Asian American Expo ushers in the Year of the Rabbit; continuing the tradition of hosting the largest Lunar New Year Celebration in America. Eager to roll out the red carpets for attendees, the 41st annual Expo is here to demonstrate why this is a ‘must attend’ cultural celebration in America with a smorgasbord of food, entertainment at every corner, a myriad of vendors to delight one’s urge to splurge, and plenty more activities to participate. The expo will have 5 Uniquely Themed Pavilions: Asian American Food Expo, China Food Showcase, ANIME Impulse, K-PLAY! FEST and Sneaker Expo.

First Thursday ArtWalk
One of the first in the region, the monthly First Thursday ArtWalk happens between Pacific Ave, Harbor Boulevard, 4th and 9th streets. The First Thursday ArtWalk showcases all arts disciplines throughout the arts community. Begun in 1997, by a group of restaurateurs, artists, and urban planners, it was designed to revitalize businesses and the arts by creating a regular attraction to bring the community into downtown San Pedro. Guided ArtWalk Tours will begin in March 2024, for a small fee.
Nature/Nurture
Nature / Nurture is a public, pop-up performance event that intersects a variety of art forms in a natural, outdoor environment that explores how we interact with nature (biology/family history) and nurture (community/surroundings). The event will feature the sound of ambient music collective Academy of Light as they perform a long-form improvisation in response to their natural surroundings while also channeling their own unique expressions.
