Join 2023 Latino Heritage Month Chair, Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez; Mayor Karen Bass; Council President Paul Krekorian; the Los Angeles City Council; and the Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) to officially commemorate and celebrate the opening of Latino Heritage Month in the City of Los Angeles.

Please also visit the Unsung Heroes: Somos LA exhibition in DCA’s Henry P. Rio Bridge Gallery at City Hall on display from September 13, 2023, to October 8, 2023, dedicated to our farmworkers and everyday heroes who work tirelessly in often the toughest of conditions to make our city, state, and country work for us all

This exhibition highlights an artist’s rare photographs of the Japanese American community in Los Angeles prior to World War II and of urban life in Hiroshima prior to the 1945 atomic bombing of the city.
