Event Schedule

Enjoy film, video art, and performance from AAPI artists tracing intergenerational intimacy and queer kinship through mythology and ritual

Join us in celebrating the Year of the Horse with a one-day Lunar New Year Short Film Festival featuring a curated selection of works by Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese artists working across experimental, narrative, and embodied practices.

Curated by BAD ASIANS, this year’s program, Ancestral Dreamscapes: Asian American Moving Image, brings together film, video art, and live performance. Drawing from mythology, ritual and ancestral knowledge, the artists trace forms of intimacy and kinship emerging across generations and geographies. Evoking diasporic longing while enacting queer world-making, the program positions the body and the motherland as sites of memory and transmutation, illuminating the wild, unruly, and imaginative possibilities of being Asian American today.
