JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of an Arts Manager or the Division Director, the Arts Associate will be a “technical assistance” coordinator who wants to administer webinars, workshops, arts community projects resulting in community-investment grant categories and projects that can foster thematic learning and/or engagement. Knowledge of grant writing basics, online platforms, and web platforms like Vimeo is preferred.

Salary Range: $62,222.40 - $90,974.16

Art instructor (Part Time) Community Arts Division

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position assists with researching, planning, and presenting multi-disciplinary arts education programming, including, but not limited to, program/workshop development and community activities for members of the public in both in-person and online formats. An Art Instructor applies current trends and best practices in Community Arts, Performing Arts, and Museum Education Programs to facilitate programming which fosters creative and critical thinking, cultivates an atmosphere conducive to artistic experimentation, and develops the talents and interests of artists, community members, and visitors through Department programs.

Hourly Pay Rate: $36.69

Art Instructors: Barnsdall Arts Center and Barnsdall Junior Arts Center

The City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) is seeking five (5) highly motivated and experienced Art Instructors for the Barnsdall Arts Center (BAC) and Barnsdall Junior Arts Center (BJAC) to provide engaging instruction in various classes and events as part of the Center’s arts programming. This is an ideal position for a friendly, energetic, caring, professional, and responsible Art Instructor with a minimum of two years’ classroom or group teaching experience and a passion for contributing to a fun,

nurturing, and supportive learning environment. BAC and BJAC are seeking Art Instructors in the following mediums:

● BAC : Jewelry Making (Metalsmithing, Enameling, Etching for Adult)

● BAC : Ceramics (Handbuilding, Wheel Throwing for Adult )

● BAC : Black and white photograph ( Darkroom for Adult )

BJAC : Media Arts (Animation / Digital Art Ages 7 ~10 years old )

BJAC : Visual Art ( Ages 5~ 9 and 9~15 years old )

Hourly Pay Rate: $36.69
