Known for text-based work about race and sexuality, Ligon’s works witness how a childhood love of literature evolved into a fascination with the political and social uses of language, especially words spoken by powerful avant-garde artists, Black thought leaders, and politicized Poets.

THE FORD 2026 SUMMER SEASON
