Celebrate Mexican Independence Day with Latin Grammy-nominated Mariachi Herencia de México, presenting Herederos. Simultaneously honoring the past, celebrating the present, and creating the future of mariachi music, Mariachi Herencia de México presents an unforgettable experience of Mexican music and culture. The historic tradition of mariachi music has its roots of origin in cities such as Guadalajara and Mexico City. As the ever-evolving genre’s influence spread, it reached Chicago and birthed the Mariachi Herencia de México. The energetic, virtuosic group has issued chart-topping albums, performed around the globe, and had their chart-topping sophomore album produced by Javier Limón. The concert will be preceded by special performances, beginning at 6:00 pm, featuring the historic Mexico-based wind ensemble La Banda de Tlayacapan and the Los Angeles-based folklórico group Grandeza Mexicana Folk Ballet Company.
