Come to LA Tienda museum gift store and meet Latino boxing historian and author Gene Aguilera as he signs copies of his most recent book, Mexican American Boxing from the Golden State, a 128-page salute to seven pioneers of Mexican American boxing: Aurelio Herrera, Art Aragon, Mando Ramos, Bobby Chacon, “Yaqui” Lopez, Arturo Frias, and Oscar Muniz. Other books by the author, including Latino Boxing in Southern California and Lost Stories of West Coast Latino Boxers, will also be available for purchase at LA Tienda, before, during and after the event.
