Angels Gate Cultural Center presents Reflections on a Warming Planet, a multimedia event bringing together filmmakers, scientists, and artists to explore the environmental issues facing our natural world. The afternoon will feature a screening of three short films, a book reading, and a panel discussion. This free, in-person event will take place at Angels Gate Cultural Center on Saturday, April 1st from 3:30pm – 5:30pm.

Curated by Lucinda Luvaas, this event features the screening of three short films: Birth of Industry by Gabriela Tollman, This Mortal Plastik by Jess Irish, and Road 721 by Lucinda Luvaas. Following the film screening is a reading by author William Luvaas. There will then be a panel discussion featuring Gabriela Tollman, Nigella Hillgarth, and Marina Moevs.

This event is held in conjunction with the exhibition Reflections on a Warming Planet, also curated by Luvaas. The exhibition will be on view at LA Artcore in Los Angeles from March 4th – April 9th, 2023.
