Experience the Festival of Legends on August 24th at 4:45 PM! Enjoy shadow puppetry featuring historical figures in “Meet the Ancestors” and a magical journey in “Tale of the Hungry Ghost” with mythical characters from East and Southeast Asian folklore.

Act 1: Meet the Ancestors
Step back in time as historical figures from Chinatown come to life through captivating shadow puppetry. Festival MC Micah Huang will guide you through this educational and entertaining segment, where you’ll hear the fascinating stories and colorful personalities of these iconic figures.

Act 2: Tale of the Hungry Ghost
Join us for a magical journey with a brave little girl who ventures into the underworld to deliver special pink dumplings to her cherished ancestors. Along her path, she encounters a vibrant array of mythical characters and creatures from East and Southeast Asian folklore, including the compassionate GuanYin, the formidable Ravana, a lonely Dragon, and a Taoist Deity with a unique daily vacation schedule. This enchanting tale combines adventure, culture, and mythology into an unforgettable experience.

Enchanted Forest of Light

Enchanted is a one-mile, nighttime walk through distinct lighting displays. Some of the displays are interactive and invite participation, while some are merely there to be observed and enjoyed.
