Join Campo de Cahuenga Museum for a workshop centered on personal and native California plant history with acclaimed author and artist, Myriam Gurba. 

Myriam Gurba is the author of critically acclaimed genre-bending memoir, Mean; an incisive collection of essays and cultural criticism titled, Creep: Accusations and Confessions; and most recently, Poppy State: A Labyrinth of Plants and a Story of Beginnings, a botanical memoir rooted in blending personal accounts with California’s native plant history. Her work has received numerous honors including the Edmund White Award for Debut Fiction and a Lambda Literary Award and has appeared in The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Harper’s Bazaar, Vox and The Paris Review. She is one of the leading voices of Dignidad Literaria, a literary movement that demands for marginalized literary voices to be platformed and resist erasure.
