Lincoln Heights Youth Arts Center is honored to host textile artist Vero Mendoza from Oaxaca, Mexico with Coyotl + Machehualli. As part of a larger series of workshops throughout California, she will be offering our community the opportunity to learn ancient techniques of washing, carding, and dyeing wool with natural ingredients. This is a free workshop and we will also be providing free lunch to workshop participants. You will also have the opportunity to purchase textiles or make donations to support Vero’s dream of reopening her late mother’s workshop and continuing to honor her memory in Teotitlan del Valle, Oaxaca, Mexico.
