Organized around a sequence of discrete installations that highlight varied groupings of artists, the exhibition represents the tendencies and sensibilities at the forefront of contemporary art. Together in Time offers insight into the museum’s collection priorities at a moment of renewed vision and focus. With the earliest work in the exhibition dating from 1951, this exhibition takes stock of the ideas and artists that have passed through the city and that have contributed to its ever-expanding sphere of influence in the broader network of global art.

This exhibition invites a fresh look at the history and vitality of the Sikh culture through paintings, posters, tapestries, and multimedia installations. Alice Wang: We Are Extraterrestrial
In her first solo museum exhibition in the US, We Are Extraterrestrial, Alice Wang showcases recent prints, glass sculptures, newly commissioned ceramic sculptures, film, and an artist’s book that reflect the artist’s deep curiosity for the space between the real and the imaginary. Storybook Theatre’s joyful Cinderella is a funny version specifically created to appeal to young children and the whole family. Complete with a loopy Fairy Godmother and puppets as the stepsisters, kids get the chance to dance with the Prince, try on the glass slipper, and join in the fun.
