Next

John Valadez is a realist painter and muralist whose work has been exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the United States, Europe, and Mexico. In the 1970s and 1980s, Valadez worked with Chicano arts collectives including Los Four and Centro de Arte Publico in Highland Park. His murals often focus on giving visibility to a Mexican American Los Angeles, and his career has been chronicled through video interviews, including sessions with Dan Guerrero and the series, High Functioning.
