Benita Bike’s DanceArt returns to Los Angeles Mission College’s beautiful AMP Theatre on Thursday, February 29, 7:00 pm. Join members of the community, students and faculty for this unique dance event, where you’ll enjoy beautiful dancing and learn more about dance. The Theatre is located at 13356 Eldridge Ave., Sylmar, 91342, and easy parking is available in the parking structure adjacent to the campus’ circular entrance driveway. This program is FREE and is supported by the City of Los Angeles’ Department of Cultural Affairs, LA Mission College’s AGS Honor Society, and its Department of Arts, Media & Performance.

The dancers of Benita Bike’s DanceArt perform with uncommon sensitivity to one another, bringing intense beauty and vibrancy to each movement. The Company is known for presenting inspiring and engaging dance shows in community sites. Company members are skilled at introducing concert dance to those new to dance, but it also provides an enriching the experience to those who are long-time dance viewers.

Some of the featured dances on this program are a new fantasy dance using fabric to carve out the stage space and connect the characters on stage, and “For Rose,” a remembrance of the choreographer’s mother and their loving, challenging relationship.

For program information, call 818-470-5734 or see www.danceart.org.
