Five museums in Pasadena and Los Angeles open their doors to the public for a free admission along with cultural events, kid’s activities and family fun. Free shuttles connect museums: The Gamble House, Heritage Square, Los Angeles Police Museum, Lummis Home, Pasadena Museum of History.

We Live in Painting: The Nature of Color in Mesoamerican Art

Mesoamerican artists held a cosmic responsibility: as they adorned the surfaces of buildings, clay vessels, textiles, bark-paper pages, and sculptures with color, they (quite literally) made the world. A thematic anchor in the exhibition is an 8-foot-by-8-foot watercolor painted by Los Angeles–based artist Sandy Rodriguez.
