Grantees

To produce and present a multi-week series of eleven (11) or more workshops attended consistently by approximately twenty or more participants, culminating in one (1) public presentation attended by approximately forty or more community members (not including participants). Project activity will take place in Council District 9. This shall be considered no less than twelve (12) public services.

To produce and present one (1) outdoor festival or parade in one community location or corridor for a minimum of one or two mornings, afternoons and/or evenings. Project activities will take place in Council District 7 or 15, and be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees.

To produce and present no less than three (3) months of workforce employment for one program-staff approved through the conctrator’s grant proposal. During these months, the employee will continue to address issues of economic disparities or social discriminations through dialogues or partnerships in order to connect cultural representation(s) with social cause(s) within the neighborhoods or communities of the grantee organization. The results of dialogues or partnerships will be one (1) or more public programs that demonstrate the role that cultural-communication or artistic expression can play in community pride with regards to authentic representations of inclusion, diversity, equity, and access.

Activities shall be free or low-cost (i.e. the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants and attendees, and take place in Council District 5 and/or via hybrid formats (in person+online).

To submit one (1) set of catalog materials documenting past accomplishments plus a scholarly essay by a writer of the contractor’s choice, as well as to produce one (1) piece/set of new work(s) which may be introduced to the public in a lecture/talk, group exhibition, and/or presented in a catalog to be produced and disseminated by the Department of Cultural Affairs.

To produce and present an opera production with no less than one (1) public performance with related community dialogues and/or interactions. Project activities will be free or low-cost (i.e. the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. Project activity will take place in Council District 2, 3, and/or 11.

To submit one (1) set of catalog materials documenting past accomplishments plus a scholarly essay by a writer of the contractor’s choice, as well as to produce one (1) piece/set of new work(s) which may be introduced to the public in a lecture/talk, group exhibition, and/or presented in a catalog to be produced and disseminated by the Department of Cultural Affairs.

To produce and present a multi-week series of fifteen (15) playwriting workshops and fifteen (15) theater performance workshops, and two (2) free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) public showcase presentations and/or performances in Council District 7. This shall be considered no less than thirty two (32) public services.

To produce and present a series of theatrical public performance readings consisting of three (3) or more presentations with related community dialogues and/or interactions. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. Project activities will take place in Council District 6.

To produce and present three (3) or more multi-week multidisciplinary arts workshops in Council Districts 2, 6, 7, and/or 14; as well as one (1) free or low-cost (i.e. the average cost of a movie theater ticket) citywide celebration event, for a total of four (4) or more services.

To produce and present one (1) public choral concert in Council District 1, and one (1) pop-up presentation themed around community pride in any public location in the City of Los Angeles, for a total of two (2) public services. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees.

To produce and present one (1) series of theatre workshops for youth, culminating in six (6) or more public performances with related community dialogues and/or interactions. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. Project activity will take place in Council District 15. This shall be considered no less than seven (7) public services.

To enroll no less than 20 low-income high school students in a free, multi-week summer design/architecture training program. Participating students will produce and present one (1) public exhibition in Council District 14. Approximately fifty percent of the youth in the summer program will come from low-income households in the City of Los Angeles.

To produce and present a minimum of nine (() after-school writing workshops in Council District 11. Educational workshops will culminate in the publishing of one (1) anthology of youth writing which will be available online one year later.

To produce and present one (1) multi-week series of dance classes culminating in one (1) public performance presentation. Project activities shall be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience and/or attendees. Project activity will take place in Council District(s) 1, 9, 13, and/or 14.

To produce and present one (1) exhibition in Council District 13, and to present no less than two (2) public programs such as: artist talks, workshops, on-site activities, panel discussions and/or partnership activities for a total of no less than three (3) services. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees.

To produce and present one (1) community collaborative art exhibition with related community dialogues and/or interactions. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. Project activities will take place in Council District 1.

To produce and present one (1) dance showcase open to the public, with related community dialogues dialogues and/or interactions. Project activities will be free or low cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. Project activity will take place in Council District 4.

To produce and present one (1) report on the Creative Economy, which will be made available for free to residents and tourists on the internet; and to produce one (1) introduction event informed by economic data in order to develop, promote and publicize community strategies to address creative industry trends.

To support and co-present three (3) community advancement partnership programs: A. one (1) program to provide 20-25 stipends to artists for workshops/classes, peer learning activities and/or professional development activities under the condition that regranting programs must include one member of the DCA Grants Division as a voting member, and B. a "Business of Arts" workshop-series which will train no less than of forty local artsists for free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket), and C. one (1) online educational public forum staged to discuss a timely cultural topic.

To produce and present a series of outdoor performing arts concerts with four (4) or more public performances. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. Project activity will take place in Council District 11.

To produce and present two (2) dance performances with related community dialogues and/or interactions. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees .Project activities will take place in Council District 10.

To produce and present one (1) public choral concert with related community dialogues and/or interactions. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. Project activities will take place in Council District 3, 5, and/or 12.

To produce and present a series of four (4) after-school arts learning projects in animation, dance, digital media, and/or music in Council District 10 which will culminate in two (2) youth arts presentations. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees.

To produce and present two (2) in-person workshops in Council District 11 and/or 14, as well as eight (8) online seminars and/or online podcasts (which can also be hybrid for some in-person attendees and presenters). These 10 activities will be free or low-cost (i.e. average cost of a movie theater ticket). All workshops and on-line seminars will have law related topics in the arts.

To produce and present two career development services: A. One business training series for emerging and mid-career media artists which will include a minimum of seven (7) low-cost workshops, demonstration, or roudtable-dialogues (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) or free public screenings of new releases in Council District(s) 4, 9, 10, and/or 12. B. One (1) open public networking event (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) associated with a media conference.

To produce and present a multi-week series of five (5) or more workshops attended consistently by approximately twenty or more participants, culminating in one (1) public presentation attended by approximately forty or more community members (not including participants). Project activity will take place in Council District 8. This shall be considered no less than six (6) public services.

To produce and present one (1) public music concert with related community dialogues and/or interactions. Project activities will take place in Council District 12, and will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees.

To produce and present one (1) multi-week exhibition of political posters, one (1) art-making workshop, and one (1) educational activity with related community dialogues and/or interactions. Project activity will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants and attendees, and will take place in Council District 9.

To produce and present one (1) multi-week series of music workshops culminating in one (1) or more afterschool or weekend performance that is open to the general public. Project activity will be free or low-cost (i.e. average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience and/or attendees. Project activity will take place in Council District 1 and/or 9.

To produce and present one (1) multi-week workshop series culminating in no less than four (4) public performances in an outdoor setting, with at least one (1) public participatory activity with related community dialogues and/or interactions. Project activities will be free or low-cost (i.e. the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and attendees. Project activity shall take place in Council District 1.

To produce and present three (3) or more radio drama workshops in Council District(s) 1 and/or 4, culminatng in three (3) or more public performances with related community dialogues and/or interactions to be broadcast to citywide audiences. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees.

To produce and present a multi-week series of eleven (11) or more workshops attended consistently by approximately twenty or more participants, culminating in one (1) public presentation attended by approximately forty or more community members (not including participants). Project activity will take place in Council District 14. This shall be considered no less than twelve (12) public services.

To produce and present one (1) multi-week professional development workshop series for emerging photographers based in the City of Los Angeles, culminating in one (1) public exhibition of participants' works, for a total of two (2) public services. Project activities will take place in Council District(s) 8 and/or 10, and be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees.

To produce and present six (6) public performances of one or more new theatrical productions with related community dialogues and/or interactions. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. Project Activity will take place in Council District 4.

To produce and present one (1) or more music education workshop for students and one (1) afterschool or weekend concert that is open and promoted to the general public. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. Project activities will take place in Council District 1 and/or 4.

To produce and present two (2) online episodes of a new LGBTQ-themed podcast and one (1) or more public launch event(s) in Council District 9 with related community dialogues and/or interactions with artists or thematic-speakers. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. .

To produce and present one (1) film program that showcases three (3) or more works by emerging independent filmmakers, with related community dialogues dialogues and/or interactions. Project activity will take place in Council District 14. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees.

To support eight (8) or more stories about Los Angeles culture that will be created and presented as part of Artbound, a multi-platform media series of broadcast TV shows, on-line projects or podcasts as well as eight (8) or more cultural journalism projects that may be blogs, event reviews or other digital products. These sixteen projects will showcase the services or activities of no less than sixteen (16) Los Angeles area artists or arts organizations.

To produce and present two (2) multi-disciplinary-arts residencies with 2 public performances with related community dialogues and/or interactions. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members,and/or attendees. Project activity will take place in Council District 1.

To produce and present two (2) multi-week art exhibitions resulting from an artist residency, with at least one (1) public participatory activity with related community dialogues and/or interactions. Project activities will be free or low-cost (i.e. the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and attendees. Project activity shall take place in Council District(s) 8,9,1 0 and/or 14.

To produce and present one (1) outdoor festival or parade in one community location or corridor for a minimum of one or two mornings, afternoons and/or evenings. Project activities will take place in Council District 8, and be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees.

To produce and present no less than three (3) months of workforce employment for each of two program-staff approved through the conctrator’s grant proposal. To produce and present two (2) series of multi-disciplinary arts workshops with no less than two (2) public performances with related community dialogues and/or interactions.. Project activity will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants and audience members, and will take place in Council District 8.

To produce one (1) low-cost (i.e. the average cost of a movie theater ticket) public music concert and two (2) free public presentations which may include open rehearsals and/or master classes for a total of three (3) or more public services in Council District(s) 3, 6, 7, 9, and/or 12.

To produce and present one (1) outdoor festival or parade in one community location or corridor for a minimum of one or two mornings, afternoons, and/or evenings. Project activity will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. Project activity will take place in Council District 9.

To produce and present one (1) outdoor festival in one community location or corridor for a minimum of one or two mornings, afternoons and/or evenings. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. Project activities will take place in Council District 14.

To produce and present ten (10) or more theater education workshops at three or more Los Angeles schools focusing on Council Districts 8, 9, 11, and /or 14; and two (2) or more related theatrical rehearsals or demonstrations in Council District 5 for audiences from the workshops series and other schools. The total number of public activities will be no less than twelve (12).

To produce and present three (3) workshops on a variety of disciplines related to hip-hop culture, with one (1) culminating public performance or demonstration with related community dialogues and/or interactions. Project activities shall take place in Council District(s) 1, 10, 12 and/or 13 and be free or low-cost (i.e. the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience, and/or attendees.

To produce and present six (6) or more cultural events in Council District 6. These activities will be presented free and/or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) These events can be matched by similar or related events d in downtown Los Angeles.

To produce and present six (6) or more free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) literary arts readings which will include an interactive element for public audiences, such as a discussion or Q&A session. Project activity will take place in Council District 11.

To produce and present four (4) or more staged readings to be presented and recorded in Council District(s) 4 and/or 5, then broadcast on public radio to citywide audiences. These public radio broadcasts of past performances will also include a minimum of ten (10) different public service announcements promoting other Los Angeles cultural organizations, events, and attractions. This shall be considered a total of no less than fourteen (14) public activities.

To produce and present two (2) or more live public performances of musical theater productions to be available to an online audience with related community dialogues and/or interactions. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. Project activities will take place in Council District(s) 2 and/or 13.

To produce and present four (4) or more free or low-cost film screenings with related community dialogues and/or interactions. Project activities will be free or low cost for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. Project activity will take place in Council District(s) 2, 4, and/or 12. This shall be considered no less than four (4) public services.

To produce and present one (1) multi-week art exhibition, to include three (3) or more related public multidisciplinary-arts events, such as readings and performances with related mcommunity dialogues and/or interactions. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. Project activities will take place in Council District 1.

To produce and present one (1) multi-week series of theatre education workshops culminating in one (1) afterschool or weekend performance and/or presentation that is open to the public. Project activity will be free or low-cost (i.e. average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience, and/or attendees. Project activity will take place in Council District(s) 8, 9, 10, 13, and/or 14.

To produce and present one (1) public choral concert with related community dialogues and/or interactions. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. Project activities will take place in Council District 3 or 12.

To produce and present one (1) free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket), design or visual arts-themed public screening with related community dialogues and/or interactions. Project activities will be free or low cost for participants, audience members, and/or attendees.

To produce and present one (1) outdoor festival or parade in one community location or corridor for a minimum of one or two mornings, afternoons and/or evenings. Project activities will take place in Council District 12, and be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees.

To produce and present one (1) outdoor festival or parade in one community location or corridor for a minimum of one or two mornings, afternoons and/or evenings. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. Project activities will take place in Council District 8.

To produce and present a multi-week series of nine (9) or more visual arts workshops culminating in no less than one (1) public presentation. Project activities will be free or low-cost (i.e. the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience, and/or attendees. Project activity will take place in Council District 1 and/or 9. This shall be considered no fewer than ten (10) public services.

To produce and present one (1) outdoor festival in one community location or corridor for a minimum of one or two mornings, afternoons and/or evenings. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. Project activities will take place in Council District 15.

To produce and present (3) or more day-long programs, which shall consist of workshops, performances, talks, reading groups, and activities open to the public, and be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. Project activities will serve no less than 120 different persons and take place in Council Districts 5 and/or 13.

To produce and present one (1) outdoor festival or parade in one community location or corridor for a minimum of one or two mornings, afternoons and/or evenings. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. Project activities will take place in Council District 3.

To produce and present one (1) multi-week series of writing, music, poetry and/or recording workshops for youth that culminates in one (1) online album, and one (1) public celebration event for a total of three (3) public services. Project activities will take place in Council District 10 and/or hybrid online formats to serve citywide audiences and will be free or low-cost (i.e average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience, and/or attendees.

To produce and present a multi-week series of five (5) or more playwrighting workshops with one (1) or more public performance(s) with related community dialogues and/or interactions. Project activities will take place in Council District 2 and will be free or low-cost (i.e. the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience, and/or attendees.

To produce and present a dance festival with a series of at least two (2) free participatory dance workshops with related community dialogues and/or interactions. Project activities will be free or low-cost (i.e. the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. Project activities will take place in Council District(s) 1, 14, and/or 15.

To produce and present 120 copies of one (1) exhibition catalog. No less than 30 free copies of the publication shall be made available to 15 or more different universities and public libraries in the City of Los Angeles.

To produce and present two (2) or more public performances of a new dance project with related community dialogues and/or interactions. All project activity will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants and audience members, and will take place in Council District 14.

To produce and present one (1) public performance of a Shakespeare play featuring youth with related community dialogues and/or interactions. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees Project activities will take place in Council District(s) 10 and/or 13.

To produce and present one (1) online literary journal to be shared with three public schools in Council District(s) 1, 8, and/or 9. Any percentage of the total number of services to be provided may be produced online for Citywide audiences.

To produce and present five (5) or more film screenings with related community dialogues and/or interactions in Council District 9. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees.

To produce and present one (1) free or low-cost film screening of original works by women filmmakers with related community dialogues and/or interactions in Council District (s) 2 and/or 13. Project activities will be free or low cost for participants, audience members, and/or attendees.

To produce and present one (1) solo writer workshop in conjunction with an annual theater festival, with related community dialogues and/or interactions. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. Project activities will take place in Council District(s) 2, 4, 12 and/or 13.

To produce and present one (1) multi-week series of dance education workshops culminating in one (1) afterschool or weekend performance and/or presentation in Council District(s) 6 and/or 8 that is open to the general public. Project activity will be free or low-cost (i.e. the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience, and/or attendees. Any percentage of the total number of services to be provided may be produced online for citywide audiences if this is safer during COVID-19.

To produce and present a dance arts production with one (1) public performance and four (4) or more workshops with related community dialogues and/or interactions. Project activities will be free or low-cost (i.e. the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. Project activity will take place in Council District (s) 13 and/or 14.

To produce and present four (4) or more free or low-cost (i.e the average cost of a movie theater ticket) public lectures and/or public convenings focusing on best practices and/or mentoring in infrastructure support for regional dance companies, independent choreographers and dance organizations. Project activity shall take place in Council District(s) 5, 8, 10 and/or 11.

To produce and present no less than three (3) months of workforce employment for one program-staff approved through the conctrator’s grant proposal. To produce and present a series of seven (7) educational career development workshops, lectures, convenings, and/or networking events to expand access/opportunities in the movie industry for LA-based Latinx film-makers/film-workers. Activities will culminate in one (1) web-based directory wherein Latinx film-workers can find each other for ongoing partnerships. Activities shall be free or low-cost (i.e. the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants and attendees, and take place in Council Districts 5,13 and/or via hybrid formats (in person+online).

To produce and present a theatrical arts festival in Council District 4 with seven (7) or more public performances and/or workshops with related community dialogues and/or interactions. To produce and present one (1) career advancement program and project, wherein twenty or more emerging female-identifying film-workers (who are: directors, writers, producers, actors, cinematographers, set designers, costumers, make-up artists, editorial staffers, grips and electricians, and/or post production workers) are engaged with professional mentors in conceiving, organizing, filming, editing, distributing and/or assessing two (2) or more short films and/or PSAs (Public Service Announcements) . This program will culminate with one (1) free educational event during which the short films and/or PSAs will be screened and discussed.

To produce and present one (1) site-specific sculpture/installation which may be available to the public for fifteen days or more, accompanied by two (2) or more public, multidisciplinary-arts events with related community dialogues and/or interactions. This shall be considered no less than (2) two services.

To produce or present a theatrical production with three (3) or more public performances. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. Project activity will take place in Council District 2.

To produce and present seven (7) or more mobile arts workshops in Council District(s) 1, 2, 8, 9, 10, and/or 14, that focus on printmaking, digital art, stencil work and aerosol. Project activities will be free or low cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees.

To produce and present 800 copies of one (1) or more publications documenting essays, articles, and other writings about music, which will be available to the general public. No less than 100 free copies of the publication shall be made available to universities and public libraries in the City of Los Angeles. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees.

To submit one (1) set of catalog materials documenting past accomplishments plus a scholarly essay by a writer of the contractor’s choice, as well as to produce one (1) piece/set of new work(s) which may be introduced to the public in a lecture/talk, group exhibition, and/or presented in a catalog to be produced and disseminated by the Department of Cultural Affairs.

To produce and present a six-month season of no less than sixty (60) educational performances involving theatrical puppets, as well as two (2) performance events on contemporary cultural themes with related community dialogues and/or interactions. To produce and present eight (8) public music concerts with related community dialogues and/or interactions. To produce and present (2) two or more interactive multi-disciplinary community art walks focused on showcasing local artists, writers and/or speakers. To produce and present one (1) outdoor festival or parade in one community location or corridor for a minimum of one or two mornings, afternoons and/or evenings. To produce and present six (6) or more performances of a new Equity theatrical production and two (2) or more staged readings of new plays by Native American writers. To produce and present an LGBT-themed film festival with four (4) or more volunteer orientation sessions and eighteen (18) or more film screenings. These activities will be free or low-cost (i.e. the average cost of a commericial movie theater ticket) and staffed by 250 or more volunteers who will be coordinated and trained by one or more staff members. This is a total of no less than twenty-two (22) public services. Project activity will take place in Council Districts 2, 4, 7, 9, 10 and/or 13.

To produce and present three multi-week art workshop series for senior citizens with related community dialogues and/or interactions. To produce and present no less than three (3) months of workforce employment for one program-staff approved through the conctrator’s grant proposal. During these months, the employee will continue to address issues of economic disparities or social discriminations through dialogues or partnerships in order to connect cultural representation(s) with social cause(s) within the neighborhoods or communities of the grantee organization. To produce and present eighteen (18) or more free opera performances and educational/outreach programs for students or seniors. These activities may include: free performances for students, educational seminars at senior centers, community recitals, demonstration performances in Council Districts 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12 , and/or 14; and/or opera performances at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Angels in Council District 14.

To produce and present super-titles in English and Spanish for (2) two afterschool or weekend live opera productions that are open to the general public. Project activities will take place in Council District (7). To produce and present two programs of public activities: (A) a music education program consisting of a multi-week series of approximately ten trainings/rehearsals at elementary, middle, or high schools culminating in at least two (2) public recitals as well as (B) one (1) high school choir festival. To produce and present one (1) public music concert with related community dialogues and/or interactions. To produce and present six (6) or more film screenings in Council Districts 8,13 and/or 14 with related community dialogues and/or interactions. To produce and present one (1) public music concert with related community dialogue and/or interactions. To produce and present one (1) choral concert with related community dialogues and/or interactions. To produce and present three multi-week workshop series which will include a minimum of thirty classes in a variety of art forms in high schools.These educational activities will culminate with three (3) or more public presentations which may be online videos, publications, or community events. Project activities will take place in Council Districts 2, 7, 8 and/or 9.

To produce and present one (1) academic research paper about field study in Los Angeles-area architecture, historic preservation, design, art history, region-specific urban planning, and/or other related programs of architectural study. Resulting research will be published online and distributed for free or low cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for citywide audiences.

To produce and present one (1) multi-week series of participatory dance workshops for senior citizens with at least one (1) culminating performance showcase. All project activity shall be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) to the public, and will take place in Council District 3.

To produce and present one (1) multi-week series of music education workshops for youth to result in three (3) afterschool or weekend events such as concerts, open rehearsals, recitals, and/or showcases, that are open and promoted to the general public. Project activity will be free or low-cost (i.e. the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience, and/or attendees. Project activity will take place in Council District 5, 8, 9, and/or 14.

To produce and present one (1) or more exhibitions which will be available to the public on approximately fifteen or more days. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. Project activity will take place in Council District 12.

To produce and present no less than eighteen (18) free or low-cost educational classes or sessions. These will be offered to local youth and families for free or low-cost (i.e. the average cost of a movie theater ticket) . The season of education will culminate in at least one (1) public exhibition. Project activity will take place in Council District 11.

To produce and present no less than one (1) afterschool or weekend concert presentation at a continuation high school with related community dialogues and/or interactions. Project activity will be free or low-cost (i.e. the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants and attendees. Project activities will take place in Council District(s) 3, 12, and/or 15.

The results of dialogues or partnerships will be one (1) or more public programs that demonstrate the role that cultural-communication or artistic expression can play in community pride with regards to authentic representations of inclusion, diversity, equity, and access.

To produce and present a multi-week student matinee program which will include no less than four (4) free matinees for youth-serving schools in Council District 14 with related community dialogues and/or interactions. To produce and present two (2) or more community advancement services that chronicle youth visits to LA cultural-art venues and will be either: (a) a survey of Los Angeles-area high school plus college-age youth to identify current barriers for their engagement with LA cultural institution events; (b) an in-person convening in the City of Los Angeles that enrolls LA-area teens to a program of subsidized tickets to LA cultural institutions; and/or (c) creation of a database that charts the demographics of teens and venues who become matched in a subsidized ticket program with visitor-experience stories. To produce and present five (5) or more theater workshops with related community dialogues and/or interactions that will culminate in one (1) holiday themed production. To produce and present one (1) outdoor festival or parade in one community location or corridor for a minimum of one or two mornings, afternoons and/or evenings. To produce and present one (1) public music concert presenting the work of a Los Angeles based composer with related community dialogues and/or interactions. This shall be considered no less than (2) two services.

To produce and present an interdisciplinary dance residency for veterans with related community dialogues and/or interactions with six (6) or more community activities. The residency will culminate with one (1) public performance. Project activities will take place in Council District(s) 3, 6, 12 and/or 14. Activities shall be free or low-cost (i.e. the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience, and/or attendees.

To produce and present two education programs: A) one series of after-school music classes for youth for thirty or more weeks of training that culminates in one (1) public performance in Council District 14; and B) no fewer than six (6) school-time concerts for youth and teachers from six or more City Council Districts, for a total of seven (7) services. To produce and present four (4) free zine-making art workshops for youth in Council District(s) 3,6,7, and/or 9 culminating with the distribution of student-made zines to one (1) or more zine festivals and/or bookstores in the City of Los Angeles.

To produce and present three (3) multi-week series of music education workshops for youth in three public schools, culminating with three (3) or more after-school or weekend community performances for a total of six (6) public services. Project activities will take place in Council Districts 1, 2, 7, and/or 9.

Project activities will take place in Council District 1, and be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees.

To produce and present one (1) art exhibition with two (2) or more related interactive public programs such as: artist talks, workshops, online guides, and/or panels. Project activities will be free or low cost (i.e. the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants and attendees. Project activity will take place in Council District 8. This shall be considered no less than three (3) public services.

To produce and present one (1) public musical presentation with related community dialogues and/or interactions. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees in Council District 1.

To produce and present one (1) multi-week visual art exhibition and two (2) associated art-making workshops. Project activity will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for the public and will take place in Council District 5.

To produce and present one (1) multidisciplinary arts program for students that focuses on cultural traditions from South Asia. Project activity shall take place in Council District 15.

To produce and present a multi-week multidisciplinary-arts residency that will culminate in one (1) public performance. Project activities will be free or low-cost (low-cost means the average cost of a movie theater ticket) for participants, audience members, and/or attendees. Project activities will take place in Council District 14.
