The content describes the "Monterey Park's Tribute to the Beauty of the Japanese Culture" event happening on April 27-28, 2024, at Barnes Park. The event includes activities like foods with Asian flair, handmade crafts, tea ceremony, Taiko drums, traditional Japanese dancing, martial arts, Japanese musical entertainment, origami demonstration, Ikebana display, and more. Take the time to see, hear, and taste a bit of the Japanese and Japanese American culture through a first-hand experience of watching traditional Japanese dancing, hearing the resounding beats of the taiko drums, observing the mastery and various skills of martial arts, participating in the ancient art of the tea ceremony, or buying hand-made crafts or food with an Asian flair. Other highlights of the Festival include games & crafts for children and numerous cultural displays.

Film Series at the Autry

FILMS AT THE AUTRY: THE SILENT TREATMENT FILM SERIES

Watch silent movies the way they were meant to be seen—on the big screen with live musical accompaniment. Showcasing a wide variety of early cinema in the best available formats, “The Silent Treatment” is a long-running silent movie film series.
