The Man in the Tuskhut is an installation of an Arctic Trader inside The Nova Tuskhut, the only Arctic Trading Post in the lower 48 States. Visitors to the Velaslavasay Panorama can peer inside the peephole of The Nova Tuskhut and glimpse the inner life of The Man inside. And on certain days of the month, visitors can make an appointment to converse with The Man in a 20-minute solitary encounter. After peering at The Man, visitors watch a 7-minute short documentary about his life and then retire to the only boomtown "public house" in Los Angeles, the Frontier Saloon, where they can read about The Nova Tuskhut and enjoy peanuts and lemonade. The Man in on view during regular open hours (Thursday, Friday, Saturday 11am-5:45pm) through August 1, 2026.

THE FORD 2026 SUMMER SEASON

The historic Ford Theatre presents a summer season of music, dance, theatre, film, and family events in its 1,200- seat outdoor amphitheater. Picnicking is encouraged! Food and beverages are available for purchase on site.
